Computer forensics is a specialized form of Electronic Discovery
where the investigation is carried out on the contents of
an imaged (digital copy) hard drive for a specific computer,
laptop or server.
The computer forensic process ensures that data on the original
hard drive is not changed therefore leaves the original system
exactly the same as before it was acquired. Usually, the computer
in question is put in a secured location to reduce further
opportunities to be compromised or damaged.
